Birds in our own back yards and around the world have benefited from the scientific studies and citizen science programs of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. We are fortunate there is an organization that is truly helping us understand nature so that humanity can make informed decisions about our natural world.

We’ve supported the Lab as members for many years but wanted to make a lasting commitment to further their education and conservation endeavors. To that end, and to meet our short- and long-term philanthropic desires, we provided start-up funds for an endowment, “to connect people with nature and to involve the citizenry of the world in Lab-based bird programs.” Then, to ensure stable and ever-increasing funding from the endowment, we’ve arranged a bequest in our estate plan.

It is our honor to support the Lab during our lifetimes and to participate in their programs. It’s also an honor to include the Lab in our estate plan; doing so will perpetuate our passion for birds.
